Hukra in Paris

What better time to go to Paris than Spring? The city comes alive with greenery, and the flower shops hold all the best that Spring has to offer. So last week we set out to discover it all with a group of our Swedish customers.

The weather was on our side, and we spend three wonderful days wandering the city to visit the crème de la crème of the flower shops, and we found some real inspiration there!

We started off at L’Arrosoir, which is an amazing space on its own, where we found some beautiful bouquets and amazing seasonal flowers. From there on, we walked to Bertrand Artisan Floral, where we found tulips and dried flowers in colorful arrangements, and then on to Maison Ciero, where we were wowed with peonies, amazing Matthiola and Clusiana Tulips in lavish bouquets.

After that followed a walk along the Notre Dame church to the Marché de Fleurs and a visit to the Jardin de Plantes, where Tulips, Anemones and Poppies greeted us with their cheery presence.

On the second day we started off at Muse, a lovely shop tucked away in one of the streets in Montmartre. At Debeaulieu we found beautiful colors, in the form of Clusiana Tulips, Syringa, Hydrangea, and many tinted flowers. They invited us to visit their plant shop as well, where we were amazed by the decorations, pots and vases that were on display. After a short stop for lunch, we moved on and stumbled upon Antique Garden, which had gigantic Camellia Japonica next to the store that lured us right in for a visit.

At Rene Veyrat we discovered amazing Phalaenopsis orchids, but also gorgeous tulips, Roses, and Lathyrus. After a stroll through the Tuileries, we visited Maison Vertumne, the final shop on our list. The store alone simply wowed us, and it held fritillaria, Peonies aplenty, and colorful tinted Dianthus.

On Thursday we found ourselves back at the Jardin de Plantes for a visit to their greenhouses, where we marveled at the huge trees inside. We concluded our visit to Paris with a stroll along The Promenade Plantée, an old railway turned park, that offered surprising tranquility despite being located among Paris’ busy streets.

Paris showed us its best side, and we had a fantastic time with our customers. We want to thank everyone that joined us for the great moments and laughter that we shared and hope to return to Paris in the future!
